BON VOYAGE

Antonio Iaccheo, Christoph Kopac, Roger Rappich

Drawings and audiovisual installation

June 4 - July 3

open Saturday and Sunday 12-16

Bon Voyage combines two projects that revolve around the theme "Life as a journey". It's about the journey on which we have always been - often without realizing it, often with the desire to capture the moment.

Antonio Iaccheo and Roger Rappich present the video projection "Just a Moment",
the result of a two-year process: in the first year they collected images and sounds from their daily environment, in the center of the second year was the processing of the material and the development of a form. Starting point of their collaboration were the questions: How is progressing life? Is it a simple line? Or a constant repetition, a circular motion? How structures our memory the past?
Their work is an archaeology of the present: present of the past, present of the present, present of the future. This triple affirmation guides somehow history, my history, our history.
Each image, each sound refers to a presence of the past in the present projecting into the future.
The evolution and progress of our society can not isolate itself from itself, we are what we like to see. We are those images, they shape us sometimes despite our own will. They are us and through us, they form the tissue of our society. This flow is one red wire in search of the meaning of our life.

Christoph Kopac and Roger Rappich are working together for almost ten years in the
multimedial band INNENBLAU. The central point of their collaboration is the perception. "I spy with my little eye ..."

In their audio-visual work "Gute Reise" they deal with the tension between personal life and global developments. Is there cause for hope? How does the free individual survive in the more and more fragmented world? Is there only the breathless escape - or can it be a relaxing trip, though to the unknown?
In view of this tension: what about the freedom of choice? Do I travel or am I driven? Is there a return from this trip in one - maybe even imaginary - home? Do we really need this warmth islands or are we able to break up without a return ticket?
In the end there rests only the wish: “Gute Reise!”
