An exchange project between Formverk (art zone) and Gnesta konsthall.

To interpret the present time to comment on the future, and vice versa;
interpret the future and understand the present.
What is hidden in the future in relation to contemporary life?

PRESENT - FUTURE is an exhibition exchange between the two artist-run spaces
Formverk (art zone) in Eskilstuna and Gnesta art gallery in Gnesta.
The idea is that Niclas Zander, who is behind Gnesta art gallery,
invites a number of artists to create an exhibition at Formverk (art zone),
while Pehrsdotter&Hallberg from Formverk (art zone) curates a show
with four artists in Gnesta.
The theme PRESENT – FUTURE is, despite its title, timeless. Timeless in the sense that artists of all times, in different ways through their creativity, trying to decipher what contemporary means, and what the future will bring.
The artists have interpreted the meaning of the theme, based on their personal expressions, and both exhibitions give a picture of the future in the present.
